Act one:
Hamlet after act one seems very happy in the fact that he has learnt of the truth behind his fathers death. He is confident in the fact that he now knows his fathers murderer is the new king (his uncle) and that he will take revenge upon him. Hamlet also makes up a scheme on how he can avenge his fathers death, the only thing is Hamlet thinks that his fathers ghost could be a devil trying to trick him. Hamlet is a little hesitant when he thinks about this fact and contemplates whether he follow through on his plan. This then makes Hamlet make up another plan to catch his uncle out to make sure that Hamlets fathers ghost was telling the truth. This act is very tragic as we have learnt of Hamlets fathers death and the wedding of his mother and uncle short after the kings death. This is tragic as Hamlet feels as though his father and his memory has been forgotten with no greif found in any other in the play except for Hamlet.
Act two:
Hamlet is now feeling better becuase his plan is coming together to trick his uncle into making a bad move and show his guilt in the killing of his brother. But Hamlet still shows that he doesnt know if his plan will work. Hamlet is also acting as a madman to fit in with his plan, the way he plays this is extremely well done as he is playing a madman but underneath he is cautious and calm. Hamlet also shows that he has great respect and admiration for the players that will make his plan come together. This chapter isnt as tragic as act one becuase Hamlets plan is coming through and he feels pleased with himself because of this. Hamlet does make this act tragic for Ophelia though by mocking her during his mad act that he is putting on.

Good comment on how Hamlet seems to be the only one wanting to remember his father. This certainly start off the tragedy. Also, you make a good point about how Ophelia is treated by Hamlet. You're also aware of how H has to think up a plan to get round his dilemma. This is becoming a revenge tragedy where it is difficult to act out the revenge.
